Many users associate colored jet press, in essence, with the domestic application. However, offices took over laser printers, as a rule, monochromatic. Both the speed and quality are higher in them. However, in the laboratories of company HP was developed the revolutionary scaled technology of press (Scalable printing technology, SPT). Its most important merits - high productivity, the excellent quality of the obtained images, the possibility application in the printers of different designation (from the relatives and the office to the industrial), the high efficiency use of inks and the low cost of imprints. We present the new printer HP OfficeJet Pro K5400, created on the base of the third generation of this technology.
The printer HP OfficeJet Pro of a series K5400 is oriented to application in the small and home offices. In this device, supplied with the change printing heads and the separate ink cartridges NR 88, is used the press into four paints by inks HP Vivera. The permission of black and white press reaches 1200 X 1200 dpi, and colored - 4800 x 1200 dpi.
Printer is equipped with processor ARM946, which work with a clock frequency of 192 MHz, and with 32 Mb of memory.
The maximum speed of press in the rough regime is 36 and 35 p./min. accordingly for the monochromatic and colored documents. With the selection of the quality of press, compared with the laser devices, the productivity to 12 p./min. is ensured in the monochromatic regime and to 10 p./min. in the color, which exceeds the indices of the multipass colored laser printers comparable in the price.
The regular chute of power feed of carriers contains 250 sheets of usual paper. Permissible density of office paper - from 60 until 105/m2, special carriers - from 60 until 200/m2. If necessary printer can be equipped with the additional chute with a capacity of 350 sheets, and also with the module of automatic perfecting. With the load into the basic chute it is possible to use carriers of sizes from 76×127 to 216×356 mm. Receiving chute is calculated for 150 sheets.
Peak load composes 7500 pages per month.
Colored printer HP OfficeJet Pro K5400 is intended for the small companies and the home offices, interested in the high-speed, highly productive printer, which ensures the press professional quality in the network with considerably the lower prime cost of page, than analogous colored laser printers.
